CHRISTMAS AND WINTERSCAPE DECOR
My Christmas Decor is finally complete! Okay, so I know there’s only 5 more sleeps until Christmas … it took a bit longer this year for the spirit to move me! 😬 As I mentioned in a previous post, this year I was going to take it a bit easy and go for more of a natural, naked Christmas tree. I tried. Really, I did. But here’s the thing. I. LOVE. LIGHTS. So fine, it had to be a ‘naked’ tree with lights …. and maybe that one mouse ornament …. and the bird ornament …. gaaaa ….. I can’t forget the beaver ornament that has been the first ornament on the tree every year of my sons’ lifes … oh and I LOVE snowflakes …… see how this is going? So what started as an effort to have a simple, natural, elegant tree inspired by beautiful, instagram, and pinterest images …. turned into this …

Turns out the spirit that moves me started with good intentions of simple decor and ended with the usual childlike discovery of all the things that glitter, sparkle, and are filled with memories of Christmas decor past. Though I did tone it down … a smidgen 😬. So I left it all here with hopes you’ll enjoy a glimse of my cozy Christmas corners and winterscapes.
